The True Master Gland

While the pituitary gland is usually known as "the master gland," it's the thyroid gland that rules the body's complex symphony of functions.  From metabolism to mood - if your thyroid isn't functioning properly, it can affect your health from head to toe.

Feeling Frazzled?
When the thyroid gland makes too much thyroid hormone (hyperthyroid), it speeds up metabolism, heart rate, and if left untreated, can cause hair loss, osteoporosis and heart failure.

Feeling Sluggish?

Hypothyroidism occurs when the thyroid gland isn't making enough thyroid hormone. Symptoms include weight gain, "brain fog" (difficulty concentrating), reduced energy levels, high cholesterol and depression.
