Hi Everyone,
Karen, thank you for a warm welcome - I'm honored to be
part of the team. I look forward to making these three days
enjoyable and profitable for your company.
Now, as Karen may have mentioned to all of you, I'm a hands-on
kind of producer, so right off the bat, there are going
to be some changes, but you'll soon see, they're changes
that will ensure we're on track to a strong mid- to late-week
performance.
No matter how healthy an organization is, it's productive
to shake up the routine every now & then to ensure we're
pushing the envelope - staying on the cutting edge - shifting
the paradigm - getting it done & doing it right.
First of all, I want you all to know I have an open door
policy. Unless it's closed. And then I need you to not interrupt
while I'm researching e-commerce and news delivery technologies.
Also, we can no longer afford smoking breaks. Time is of
the essence - it's money - and money actually can buy happiness,
so I'll need you all on board with this one.
Also, we're going to be doing some fun, team-building exercises
all day Friday, so wear your casual clothes and sturdy shoes.
We'll be doing a ropes course over by Lake Merced in the
morning, then that afternoon, we'll be in a teamwork seminar
hosted at the Doubletree in Daly City. The seminar ends
at 6:30, then it's mandatory cocktails and dinner until
11pm, then you're free to go.
I'm excited to see us all come together and make our numbers
for the week, so keep those keen ideas coming and keep your
eye on the target. See you all first thing Wednesday morning,
8am sharp, for our weekly 3 hour staff meeting.
Best,
-JL
